Governor Mike Beebe last week issued a disaster declaration for 22 Arkansas counties that were impacted by the recent winter storm. Lt. Governor Mark Darr is found to have misspent thousands of dollars of state funds for personal or undocumented purposes. Walmart announces a new president for the retailer's India operation, and First Security Bank has a new CEO in northwest Arkansas. And a Little Rock museum has a new exhibit regarding the history of an Arkansas staple: the Bowie Knife.

Austin-based singer/songwriter Joe Pug returned to Fayetteville last month for a performance at George's Majestic Lounge. This week's montage was inspired by the 80th anniversary of prohibition being repealed.

The Department of Homeland Security announced this morning that hundreds of thousands of undocumented young people, who meet certain criteria, will be provided relief from criminal deportation and allowed to work in the United States. We get reaction from a state immigrant civil rights leader.
More than 1,800 animals, about 36 percent of intakes, were euthanized at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter last year. A group of residents formed “No-Kill Fayetteville” to pressure city administrators to lower that rate.
