Last Thursday, a preliminary hearing was held before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Chris Piazza on a lawsuit filed last summer to strike down an Arkansas constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, approved by seventy-four percent of voters ten years ago. On this edition of Ozarks, a task force on race is working in Harrison to discuss the past, present and future of that city. And a student organization at the University of Arkansas is working to make sure a small town in Belize will have an ample supply of safe water in the future.
The Ouchita and Ozark-St. Francis National Forests system is in need of Resource Advisory Committee applicants. As Jacqueline Froelich reports, the positions are voluntary, but projects help to support local communities and economies.
