The nonprofit artists cooperative enters its twelfth year in the community with its Holiday Open House. A concert Sunday on the University of Arkansas campus will direct proceeds to relief efforts after a devastating typhoon.
With the impending weather, many of the week's events have made some changes in anticipation of cold temperatures and hazardous road conditions.
The Arkansas Red Cross has shelters and volunteers on standby if the impending winter weather turns severe. The Federal Reserve releases the latest Beige Book, which shows significant economic development in Arkansas and surrounding states. Andy Allen is the new head of the viticulture and enology programs at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark. He has previously served as an extension viticulture specialist for wine grapes with North Carolina State University at Raleigh and he now leads the programs at a campus that is five miles away from Altus, a town that has been the historic center of Arkansas’ wine-making industry.
